Born in Bolzano, Greta Marcolongo studied singing and harp from an early age. In 2009, she was among the five finalists in the European Contest 'Upload Bz'. She studied singing with Alessandra Amaddii, Roberta Rigotto, Paola Folli and participated in workshops and seminars with Elisabeth Howard, Jack Poppel, Maria Pia De Vito and Franco D'Andrea (from whom she received a scholarship in 2016). In 2013, she starred for the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen in an unpublished play, Das Ballhaus, inspired by the play Le Bal. In 2014, she graduated from Padua with honours in Classical Literature and Ancient History. In the 2014/2015 season, Greta works at the Landestheater in Innsbruck as a singer and protagonist in the show Dante. Inferno, directed by director and choreographer Enrique Gasa Valga. She plays Beatrice. In 2018 she graduated in jazz singing at the Cdm in Rovereto. From 2017 to 2019 she works for the productions of the musicals West Side Story, Chicago and the production of the musical Der blaue Engel, respectively at the Landestheater and the Haus der Musik in Innsbruck. In recent years she has personally conceived and dedicated herself to different projects, combining the musical genres she is most passionate about: from French chanson, to jazz/swing that has made history, to Italian, American and English pop music. She travels and works in Italy, Austria and Germany with multiple ensembles. She organises and directs musical education and animation projects for children and young people.
